To add on, I noticed that there's a gap in sports and physical fitness in Singapore, which is injury prevention.
A lot of countries ensure that athletes and people who have an active lifestyle are knowledgeable about how to prevent injuries and are educated on proper form when doing workouts, because bad form is an indicator of a weakness. It's been proven that those who do know proper form and injury prevention are less prone to injury, which saves them from a lot of complications!
So, why is it that in Singapore... there aren't any programmes that are mandatory for people who have an active lifestyle? If I had known more about my own weaknesses, such as how my knees tend to bend inwards when I do squats which actually places stress on the ACL, I probably could have avoided my injury!
This is lacking and it is crucial that people know more about their own bodies!
