Sunburn

I got sunburnt and I'm never going out in the sun ever again.
Did you know that getting sunburnt more than five times in your life increases your risk of getting skin cancer?

Anyway, I don't know why people start arguing over small things. What's even worse is if something bigger is at risk of being lost, like a friendship. I've seen many long friendships, even relationships, thrown away because of a stupid fight.

Okay, so enough of that. Basketball has been pretty shit lately, but I've suddenly come to a realisation that when fatigued, you're able to zone out all the hateful comments directed at you and not be worried. I worry when there's conflict, but hey if I'm sucking wind, bam, it's gone!

I wish there could be more transparency, if I were given a taste of the actual basketball training that I'd experience in secondary school, I would've been out of there in a huff. I don't understand why people, organisations, schools, guv'ments, why do they put so much effort into hiding the truth. What is the point, really? Yeah, of course you would want to put your best foot forward, you wouldn't walk into an interview and point out your weaknesses like how you can't photocopy documents or deliver coffee to your boss, but even if you lie and yes, maybe you might be good at stapling sets of papers and yes, you're such a 'people person', what good does that do when the boss eventually finds out you're shit at everything? Just to clarify, I'm not talking about how people write their qualifications on their resume, I'm talking about interviewees not being transparent, how they don't mention their weaknesses at interviews. (But really who would do that anyway?) I have no idea what I'm even saying, looking at the chunk of crap I wrote about the interview thing, I regret doing that. It's a bad example. But I guess the point I'm trying to make is, why can't people be brutally honest? If it's going to push people away from joining your school or applying for your job, isn't it for the better? That way they won't be conned into doing something they don't fucking enjoy doing! Why can't we be more like that? I do understand that it is necessary, and now I really have no idea what the fuck I'm going on about, I guess I'm just trying my hand at a B.J Novak-esque style of writing? =)

I'd like to write scripts one day, try something new.
