Stardust by Neil Gaiman

I've wanted to read this book ever since the year of 2012 when Saelis, an ex League of Legends game master and streamer on twitch.tv recommended it to her fans. She absolutely adored the book and was even granted permission by the author himself to read it to her viewers on stream. How cool is that? I'm glad to say that my trust in her taste has not been broken, even though I had doubts during the first quarter of the book.

Rating: 8.7/10

Synopsis: Young Tristran Thorn of the countryside small town Wall ventures beyond its walls into the magical land of Faerie. He does so in search of a falling star that he and Victoria Forester, a girl he loves but is not reciprocated by, see one night. Victoria mocks him by giving him a pact that should he find the falling star they both see, he has the permission to do what his heart desires, which is to marry her. Life in Faerie is much more different from life in the simple town with simple folk of Wall. Tristran comes across many people, creatures, magic, adventures. Eventually he finds the Star and chains her to him to prevent her escape, which makes her hate him. The journey back to wall is a most dangerous one as there are two other characters, a witch and a man, in search of the Star for their own interests. I don't want to spoil anything so you should read on to see how it ends! (Wrote the person talking to herself)
